There's a house on a hilltop perched high in the air
With flowers around it and, oh yes, the stair
Fifty-eight steps 'til the summit you've gained
And the gate swings open, your efforts attained
Broken stairways where these feet of mine
Falter and stumble as they seek to climb
Just memories left me of kindness and love
Awaits me high on that hill above
Life with its stairways to climb all alone
Nothing but memories to welcome me home
While deep within my afflicted breast
I long for tranquility of endless rest.
