Question #1 WHAT IS DIRECT CREMATION?
Answer: Direct Cremation is the removal from the place of death, transporting the remains to the crematory, securing and filing the necessary paperwork,obtaining the permits, providing a simple container for handling the remains (required by the crematory).

Question #2 WHAT IS THE COST FOR A DIRECT CREMATION?
Answer: The charge for a Direct Cremation is $2495.00. This price includes removal from the place of death, securing and obtaining all necessary paperwork and permit. Transporting the deceased to the crematory, the alternative container which is required by the crematory for handling the remains, the crematory charge, and the New York City permit fee. The only additional charge are for copies of the death certificates. In New York City the charge is $15.00 per certified copy. New York State is $10.00 per copy. We will provide you with a price for any additional merchandise or service that you desire.

Question #3 MAY WE HAVE A FUNERAL SERVICE?
Answer: Of course. We have chapels available for you to have a service with or without the remains present.(referred to as a Traditional Service). You may also use our chapels for a memorial service (with or without the cremains present).

Question #4 CAN I MAKE PRE-ARRANGEMENTS FOR A CREMATION?
Answer: Yes. Our firm belongs to the PRE-PLAN which is a New York Trust Administered for the N.Y. State Funeral Directors Association Inc by Funeral Directors Support Services Inc. A New York Corperation. At the time of pre arrangements you will select the services and merchandise that you desire. We will determine the total cost and provide you with a fully itemized statement. We will then provide you with the Trust Fund agreement in the amount of those charges. Your pre-payment check is made payable to PRE-PLAN. We will forward a copy of your contract together with your check, to the Office of Trustees.
